Sheepstacker 1.2.1 Now Available!

Version 1.2.1 of Sheepstacker is now available in the App Store. This update fixes the issue that iPhone and iPod touch users were having with the game if they were running OS 2.2.1 or earlier. Remember, if you’ve purchased the game previously, this update is free.

I’d like to reiterate my apology to all of the OS 2.x users out there. The transition to OS 3.0 has been bumpy at best, and with all of the exciting new features of Sheepstacker 1.2, we let this very serious bug sneak past us. We hope that you’ll find it was worth the wait though. Thank you for your patience. Happy stacking!

Sheepstacker 1.2 Issue On 2.2.1 And Earlier Devices

We’ve been made aware of an issue with the new Sheepstacker 1.2 update and devices running OS 2.2.1 or earlier. This issue causes the game to not start properly, only showing the Tiny Tim Games logo before dropping back to the Home screen.

We have submitted a fix for this problem and are awaiting approval from Apple. Please note that you do NOT have to upgrade to OS 3.0. You simply need to update to Sheepstacker 1.2.1 when it is posted to the App Store. We are hoping the update will be posted by this weekend.

I would like to personally apologize for any inconvenience, and I thank you for your patience in this matter.

Sheepstacker 1.2 Released

We’re pleased to announce that Sheepstacker 1.2 has been released, and is available now in the iTunes App Store! If you’ve purchased a previous version of Sheepstacker, this update is free as always.

For 1.2, we partnered with the guys at Aptocore to bring global online high scores and award tracking to Sheepstacker using the fantastic AGON Social Platform for iPhone Games. Now you can see how you stack up against your friends, your neighborhood, your city, or the entire world!

In addition to online leaderboards, AGON also provides integration with Facebook. Want to brag to your friends about a great high score you got in Sheepstacker? With the tap of a button, you can publish a story directly to your Facebook feed.

We’ve made a few other changes under the hood as well. We’ve improved performance significantly, so the game should run much smoother now, and we’ve fixed a few bugs that we’ve come across. Overall, the experience should be much better and more complete.

Remember, you can still get Sheepstacker for 50% OFF this weekend only, so grab it now! We’ll see you online! Happy stacking!

UPDATE: You can check out the current high scores in REAL-TIME by heading to our Sheepstacker High Scores page.

Sheepstacker In Your Browser, AGON, and E3

After a short beta, Sheepstacker is now available for play in your web browser. Our friends at Wooglie.com are the first to host the game, and you can play it right now by clicking here. (The Unity web browser plugin is required to play the game in your browser.) Be sure to give us a vote!

Additionally, we’re planning another big update to the iPhone and iPod touch versions of Sheepstacker. We’ve done lots of performance improvements for an even smoother experience, and we’re also adding the feature that’s been most requested: Global online leaderboards!

We’ve implemented the AGON Online social platform for iPhone games, which was created by the guys at Aptocore, and this framework provides global and location-aware leaderboards, online awards tracking, posting accomplishments to your Facebook (and soon, Twitter) accounts, friends lists, and more! Look for that update in the coming weeks.

Finally, we’re going to be hanging out at the E3 Expo this week. We’re sure to be constantly updating our Twitter statuses (@jerrodputman and @shannonkay) with highlights and pictures.

We’re also going to be demoing the next Tiny Tim Game as well (which is still very top secret)! If you’re a publisher or news outlet that would like to take an early look at our prototype, just send an e-mail to info@tinytimgames.com or send us a tweet (either on our personal accounts or our @tinytimgames account). For everyone else, we hope to have something to show in just a few more weeks.
