From discussing the issues with other Unity developers, it seems the problems aren't global, meaning some Unity games don't suffer from these issues while others do.

I don't really have an answer to give you as far as what Unity Technologies will do for iPhone OS 3.0. My theory is that there are some changes that Apple made to the SDK that are causing some problems (though I couldn't talk about those even if I wanted to). I imagine they'll just release an update, and we'll have to rebuild and push our own update to the store.

In any case, the beta SDK for 2.0 changed significantly over the course of a few months, so there's still the possibility that these are just beta jitters. The thing to remember is that the SDK is most definitely beta and still has many months before official release.

Is the Unity engine not compatible with iPhone OS 3.0 at all?

Will it be re-written from scratch for iPhone OS 3.0?
